We Remember David Hoos

David HoosWe are remembering David Hoos, a founding team member, who was killed in a tragic car accident on Saturday the 20th of July 2013. David’s wife Audrey was not in the car at the time and is safe in the care of her children.

Though officially a retired engineer, David had a brilliant mind, a passion for Jesus as well as a deep love for Audrey, his nine children and 35 grandchildren. He brought a spiritual depth to the team as well as technical prowess.

Ruth, one of David’s daughters, was reaching out to OneHundredFold to make sure we received the news. She told of how David’s passion for OneHundredFold went with him everywhere, including their recent Renich family reunion that had 145 people present. David made a presentation to the entire family about the work and vision of OneHundredFold, impressing on his family that he was deeply committed to the vision of using technology to reach out to those who have not heard. The family has asked that in place of flowers, gifts be made to the ministry of OneHundredFold.

One of the privileges of being part of OneHundredFold is serving with the great people the Lord has called to this ministry. David will be deeply missed by us, his church and family. Please pray for Audrey and her children as they make many important decisions over the next few days.
Ken Wienecke attended the memorial service on Saturday 27 July on behalf of the OneHundredFold team.
